Winning by Disrespecting

Today, I saw the Mayweather-Ortiz bout at free TV. One of the most controversial bouts I've ever watched since the Mike Tyson days. While Maymeather led the first 3 rounds, Ortiz tried to rally back in the 4rth round by landing a flurry of punches. While Ortiz tried to get back at Mayweather, he was caught with an intentional headbutt while he was assaulting Mayweather at the ropes. Joe Cortez(the referee) immediately seperated them and deducted a point on Ortiz. Ortiz quickly appologized to Mayweather. The rest was quite uncalled for.
While in the middle of the ring, Mayweather and Ortiz embraced and touch gloves. Before Ortiz moved away, Mayweather unleashed a left hook followed by a right straight knocking down Ortiz. The bout ended in four rounds after Ortiz couldn't answer the 10 count.
The fight's conclusion was a disappointment since Ortiz only showed some kind of sportsmanship by apologizing to Floyd for the headbutt but in return, Floyd gave him a cheapshot to get the win. This was even more disappointing that the fights wherein his wins are because of the scores. Floyd is the winner no doubt, we could not change that but for boxing fans and enthusiasts, this was a letdown. He could have dominated Victor Ortiz or even knock him out in the latter rounds, but he chose the easy dirty was out. Mayweather showed more arrogance during the post fight interview. While he was right at some point, his actions were not a mark of a true champion making him degraded even more. I hope Manny Pacquiao destroys him if their megafight becomes a reality.
