Surviving Yesterday

Yesterday almost turned into a disaster for me. The goods that we were supposed to sell arrived late and people were coming and buying stuff already. To top it all, the person who supposed to handle the pork carcass for us was busy helping his relative who also sells meat goods. It was chaos.
I arrived early yesterday(about 1:30 AM) to be able to set up every thing. Upon arriving there, I found out that both pork and chicken orders that I supposed to have were not yet there. I sharpen my knives and set up my chopping boards and waited until my commodities arrived. To my dismay, both came very late at the same time. chickens came first but when the pork carcass (3 whole of them)arrived, I must clear out the stand (which is only 1x1 meter). we needed to reorganize because of that. It led to missing customers not being able to buy due to the lack of space and disorganized goods.
We still have lots of dressed chicken left and it was noon already. Luckily for me and my mother, there were still people passing along our stall even though it was located at the back of the market. We manage to still sell our goods and decrease it’s number. The things that were left were offered by my mother as credit to other vendors or as an exchange for other commodities. We manage to get home early unlike last two years that we almost spent the New Year in the market.
Looking at this, I guess I should plan into having my goods delivered earlier next time. But all in all, the end year sals turned out to be profitable.
