Dissapointing...Win

The fight that happened yesterday between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez was critizied due to the poor performance of the former. Most of the rounds, there was no signs of Pacquiao's speed, power and aggressiveness that he showed during his last three fights. It was like the boxer fighting Marquez was not Manny Pacquiao at all. It was a disappointment in my standpoint. It was like Pacquiao Marquez 2.5.
On the other hand, Marquez showed his aggressiveness and mastery during the early rounds, landing great combinations and solid blows. It was like he mastered what Pacquiao would do and knows when to attack. He sticked on to his game plan counter punching as well as hitting accurately.
In the final four rounds, Pacquiao made a comeback and somewhat became aggressive. With a busted lip and a cut eyelid, he charged back hitting a flurry of punched as well as an increase of speed. Also in those final rounds, Marquez started to slow down that he couldn't answer back Manny's attacks. This was also the deciding rounds that may have given Pacquiao the edge to beat Marquez via majority decision.
Pacquiao may have won but the victory was not satisfying for a lot of people including me. I wanted Pacquiao finish the fight via 4th round knockout but instead, a slower Manny Pacquiao with no killer instinct whatsoever showed up and almost lost the fight. It was rather dissapointing. He could have knock down Marquez in the 12th round , but instead, he held back. While most of the people thought that Marquez won, Manny as announced the victor in the fight, which in my opinion was the right call. But at the very least, if Manny would have been aggressive in the early rounds, the victory he had wouldn't have been questioned.
Manny is the pound for pound king and posses great fighting skills but when it comes to Marquez, he seems intimidated and afraid that he could be knocked out. Now, with this so called controversial win, it seemed that Marquez's allegations on winning the first two fights against Pacquiao were indeed true. Now they are planning a fourth fight but to me, it's no longer needed since Manny already made one thing clear that he would be at his worse and just mock Marquez if that fight would happen. And to me it's something that every Filipino fan should be ashamed of.
