Got A Netbook....
Yesterday evening, I trooped to a local mall to buy myself a netbook that would fit my budget. I was looking for the NEO brand that cost around Php. 10,000.00. After a few glances, I spotted a netbook from firefly mobile, or the Indigonetworks netbook.
The first thing that I notice is that it dropped price from the original of about 10%. The OS bundled with the system was now Ubuntu linux from Windows 7. I was cautious about it because of the bad reviews received online. I was reluctant at first but I bought it out of budget constrain and curiosity.
When I returned home, I immediately tried it out. It was running smoothly most of the way with some minor hiccups when playing video media. But overall it was stable.
I also tried to connect to the internet using a HSPA usb stick. It didn't stay connected too long though. Today, I managed to figure out the problem and connecting online now easy picking. The 3G connection is fast and the netbook manage to handle flash and youtube videos added the lightness of the Ubuntu built as well as the web browser.
I don't yet have any problems right now. But if something arises, I could just return it to be repaired with no cost for a full year.
